
Keloth Molkoh, Warrior of Light, is the chef and co-owner of Magic's Horizon in Ul'Dah. Alongside his wife and family, he helps those in need with food and solstice at the bakery, always ready to answer the call of the Scions to aid those in need.

The art of the Vertisseur is not a job for those with a faint heart; rather, it is not a job at all. The Ideal of the Vertisseur was born at the edge of the universe — the Horizon of Magic. When the dead body of a man who'd peaked in the art of the red mage was brought to where aether was tangible, it coursed through his body and gifted him a nigh-boundless aetherpool for which to weave a new generation of spells with. True, raw, unaspected spells are cast, which leave behind buffs stored in Vertisseur Rings. When the balance of buffs reaches it’s peak, pure magic bursts forth in an explosive martial display, destroying all enemies and leaving behind only: The Vertisseur


The core rotation remains familiar to red mage, though there are some important changes. Each spell for the six elements is now a true, unaligned variant of the element’s spell (ie. Firaga), and completing that spell provides a buff (ie. Enfire). Dualcast remains, as do the melee burst and curative abilities (ie. Curaise), but now the melee burst makes use of Astral and Umbral Charges, both of which are required to cast their penultimate capstone spell Collapse.Vertisseur spells are only possible thanks to the aether control of red mage combining with his newfound aetherpool. Whereas Verfire cost 2% of his mana pool (resulting in 200 MP worth of aether), the same 2% slice of aether is now worth 2000 MP.
While formidable, the power of the Vertisseur lies in the strength of conviction behind the spells; rather, the newfound aetherpool is merely one ingredient to success with this Ideal. From friends and family to treasured allies, the true magic woven by the Vertisseur is possible thanks only to the balance of experiences and emotions in Kel's life, and these intense feelings allow him to manifest a pure expression of magic unseen since times before the Sundering. While not the creation magics of the Ancients, the magics of the Vertisseur tread into realms unseen for millenia. As such, the only items capable of bearing the force of that power are items steeped in the same emotions and magics that called forth that strength: Vertisseur Rings. Rings that Kel wore throughout his life, and now includes his wedding ring to his spouse. These rings have seen back-alley fights and were steeped in dynamis at the edge of the universe; they are his soul crystal, they carry his sword and magic within them, and are just as much a reflection of soul as his baking.

Across the reflections of the Source, where magics and skills differ and diverge, terms like paladin or summoner represent particular fields of skills that fall into the same category — however, not everyone shares the same skillsets, and indeed some practitioners do not fall within any category. Y'shtola, for example, is heralded as a sorceress, which does not fall completely in the realm of the black mage but shares several skills with the class and it's cousins.What, then, do you do for someone like Kel whose skills are unlike anything seen across the spectrum of jobs or classes? For whom which the skillset is singular and cannot be taught? For who is singular across the Reflections?We refer to these newfound abilities as "Ascensions" or "Ideals". Ascensions are sets of skills, abilities, and magics that do not subscribe to the standard classification system across the reflections. Vertisseur is one such newfound Ascension — using singularly-aspected, unaligned magics treading the domain of Ancient creation magics; wielding blades of crystalline blue formed from pure, condensed aether; and fueled by the perfect balance of emotions and experiences within his body. The Ascension system is one used to describe those whose abilities fall outside our understanding, and those few like Kel whose abilities have evolved beyond their wildest dreams they tread into unknown territory.
Because these ascended abilities are singular to each individual for whom they have been bestowed to, each Ascension so far discovered is known to have a set of Ideals that describe the circumstances around which these skills can be used. In the same way that there is no standard definition for these ascended abilities, there is no standard for how many Ideals one creates when their Ascension is discovered — it is entirely possible for one singularly powerful Ideal to be the only belief that requires maintaining if it's strong enough.However, this does mean that those occasions where the belief in those Ideals is shaken can prove disastrous for the wielder. If, for example, Kel were to stop casting spells with love for his spouse and his family in his heart, then the results of the spell may not be as expected.Below is an example of what Ideals may look like, and are the ideals of the Vertisseur Ascension.

The elemental spells of the Vertisseur are true, unaligned spells that replicate some of the strongest forces found in nature. The six main elemental spells Kel casts as part of his rotation are: Firaga, Blizzaga, Stonega, Aeroga, Thundaga, Waterga. Each of these spells has a secondary effect when cast under the effect of Dualcast, providing the associated buff within the Vertisseur Rings. Once all the buffs have been stored into the rings, the Vertisseur can then unleash a powerful display of martial prowess through the True Strike combo, dashing back and forth with swords of crystalline aether to damage his enemy.

The Vertisseur has further abilities available to them in Technicks — powerful skills, including the True Strike martial attacks, that are less easily bound by definitions of the standard element-aspected spells. Technicks can be curative magics, barrages of blades with crystalline aether, or even defensive effects built from protective magics, and the list below demonstrates the closest comparison a technick may have to a red mage's abilities.

The grandest representation of the Vertisseur's connection to magic and love for the world, the Limit Break of Kel as a Vertisseur is titled Cascading Horizons. After pulling his soulbound blade from the Vertisseur Rings, the eight foci are thrown into the air where a magic array of aether sends cascading waves of energy down into the area, healing allies and harming enemies, providing Kel the aetheric potential to weave through the area, dealing an intense display of slashes and energy, connecting the points of the array. Once the array is complete, he dashes out of the area, setting the area alight with pure, unaligned aether that threatens to unwind enemies and shields allies.

Keloth Molkoh, known as Kel to friends and family, is the youngest adoptive son of Cesolk and Suzuka Molkoh and Warrior of Light. A man with a love of family and patisseries, he fell into the adventuring life alongside his spouse but his goals in life are humble. If the winds of change hadn't caught Kel in their sails, he would have been happy taking over the Molkoh Bakery, the bakery his parents owned and lived above in Ul'dah. As things stand now, despite all the hardships and loss that has befallen him, he remains a kind-hearted and empathetic baker with humble ambitions and a love for bringing peace and warmth to those without.Owner and chef of Magic's Horizon, the shop is just a few steps down the road from his parents place, and they often host collaborative events to give back to the community and their neighbours. Kel takes pride in giving back to those less fortunate, and Kel's gentle kindness warms the hearts of those he meets.

The markings on my face? I was born with two, but I magically augmented them during my coming of age ceremony! There's one for every member of my family: Mama, Papa, my birth parents together, Cemi, L'Vyriah, L'Aerryn, L'Amrynn, Flykk, Aalto, and my spouse. My family.
Kel was born to viera of the Golmore Jungle, whose uniquely coloured skin and hair marks him as a member of a special group of moon-worshipping viera, unique even amongst their peers. Many of his overall features match his birth father's, including his darker gray-toned skin and gray hair with white hightlight, but his face is more familiar to that of his birth mother, including his soft nose and gentle smile.Kel's eyes were once a deeper purple; however, after Kel's rebirth at the horizon of magic, much of his body and was changed including his eyes which have now taken on a richer indigo colour. Additionally, his eyes have an internal shine to them and his pupils have morphed into a star shape.Another change during his rebirth are the markings along his arms - when teleported away from the final fight in Endwalker, in which he expired, Kel spent either a moment or infinity floating in a space he believes to the horizon of magic. While floating in infinite space, an unimaginable amount of aether flowed through his body, marking his arms with imagery of feathers, vines, and thorns and bringing him back to life. While exploring his markings, which subtly glow with a warmth from inside, he found the aether channels that flow through his body had grown substantially, meaning he can wield stronger magics than he ever imagined.Beyond his magic prowess, however, Kel maintains his body as a result of being a practiced red mage. He remains dexterous and fit, with stronger arms and hands that beget training and practice as both a duelist and a baker. He remains toned, lean, and strong even when not with the Scions or adventuring.Finally, his legs; Kel was at the Battle of Carteneau as part of the Immortal Flames. Unfortunately, on Garlemald's side was a man with a visceral hatred for him, and as such used a lightning 'magic' that chained to and killed not only much of his own allies as well as Kel's, but scarred Kel's legs with lightning that continues to eat at his legs to this day, rendering him without feeling in his feet and much of legs, requiring daily healing, ointments, and massaging.

Something that my Mama and Papa always used to tell me is that if you make a promise to someone you care about, you keep it. If you make a mistake, you apologise. And if you give someone like that a dream, you defend it to the end. That's what family's all about, isn't it?
Kel owes much of his personality to the teachings of Mama and Papa, which were essential to the growth and maturing of a young boy whose parents were taken too early. Mama and Papa taught Kel and all their children from a very early age the ropes on being emotionally mature - as such, Kel is communicative with his feelings, and trusts the people he cares about to listen to his feelings with honest.He is a happy, humble man who enjoys honing his craft of baking to it's peak. He is typically a calm person, but is easily excitable when listening to the interests of his wife or pursuing his own passions. He always considers himself fortunate to be in his position; as such he is commonly found distributing daily goods that would turn sour quick to those less fortunate within Ul'dah. Though his family never had much more than the bare necessities, they were always taught to share what they can, and Kel continues that mindset throughout his life.Much of his personality was forged in the pits of sadness - the death of his parents; the death of his eldest brother, who he greatly admired; the disabling of his legs by a Garlean soldier - all these events took a heavy toll on him. As such, he tends to be sentimental with the people he cares about and the places he's been to. Losing people through their adventures is hard, as can be seen with Haurchefant's death, but he is always grateful for the time he gets to spend with those he cares for.
